  • Episode Description
  • While playing "house," Michelle's friend Teddy questions her on why she always chooses to be the daddy. Discussing this aggravates Michelle's loneliness for her mother, and after having a talk with Becky, she decides that in order to have a new mommy, she must find Danny a woman--pronto! Although Michelle's preschool teacher is twice Danny's age, the 4-year-old believes it is the perfect arrangement, but when she invites Miss Wiltrout over for lunch, the romantic date doesn't turn out quite as planned. Meanwhile, DJ and Kimmy switch identities for a special school project, but that means Kimmy will be living at the house and posing as DJ Tanner. EEEEEEEK!moreless

  • Quotes (14)

    • Teddy: (when Michelle talks about how she doesn't have a mommy) You should get one. Mommies use fabric softener on your pajamas. Michelle: My daddy does that. Teddy: Mommies always have lots of candy in their purse. Michelle: My daddy keeps Wet Wipes in his wallet. Teddy: Mommies wear makeup and pretty dresses. Michelle: You got me there. Teddy: It's too bad you don't have a mommy. You're missing something good. Michelle: Yeah, you're right. I need a mommy.

    • Michelle: How do people fall in love? Becky: (uses herself and Jesse as an example) Well, I fell in love with your Uncle Jesse over a romantic candlelight dinner for two, with really romantic music, and we shared a kiss. Michelle: (teasingly) Ooh! Becky: Eh, it was just a little good-night kiss...that lasted three hours.

    • Michelle: Will I ever get a new mommy? Danny: Well, I hope so. Michelle: Have you met the school nurse? She's very hot!

    • Danny: See, what makes a family is people who love each other and take care of one another. You have a very special family: you have a daddy, and an Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky, and a Joey. Michelle: I bet nobody in school has a Joey!

    • Michelle: I wish I had a mommy. Danny: Well, I know you don't remember, but you had a wonderful mommy. And she loved you very, very much. Michelle: It's no fair, all the other kids have mommies. Danny: Well, I know it may seem like everyone else has a mommy. But honey, the truth is, some people just have a mommy, or they just have a daddy, or a grandma and grandpa or an aunt and uncle. There's all different kinds of families.

    Notes (1)

    • According to Becky, she fell in love with Jesse over a romantic candlelight dinner with romantic music, and the night ended with the two of them sharing "a good-night kiss that lasted three hours." This is most likely referencing the Season 2 episode Little Shop of Sweaters, where Becky finally agreed to let Jesse take her out, and they shared their very first date on Valentine's Day.

    Trivia (2)

    • With this episode, the writers have now officially given each of the Tanner girls an episode where they mourn the fact that they don't have a mother. This happened to DJ in the pilot, then Stephanie in Season 4's Slumber Party, and now Michelle in this episode.

    • In this episode, Michelle has a heart-to-heart with Becky about what she needs to do to get a new mommy. Given that Michelle is so young here, and the subject matter is very serious, I'm surprised Becky didn't talk about this with Danny. He was clearly oblivious to Michelle's emotions throughout all of this.
