  • Episode Description
  • Remember how you used to be lucky if you scored a couple dollars from your sidewalk lemonade stand? Well, after earning a cool $221.00 with her own stand, Michelle heads straight to the candy store but gets sidetracked and comes home with a donkey. Danny agrees to let her keep it until morning, which results in a long, loud evening that only one family member can control.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (19)

    • Michelle: (about a picture of Danny's relative) Whoa, who's the geek in the hat?!?!?!? Danny: Sweetheart, this happens to be your great-great-great grandfather. Michelle: Great. So, who wants to go on a candy run?

    • Joey: (about Michelle) Come on, Danny, how much can she possibly spend? The most I ever spent at a candy store was, oh, $185.

    • (Michelle comes home with a donkey) Danny: This is all your fault, Jesse. You had to tell her, "Hey, go out and live a little." Jesse: A, I don't talk like that. And two, I thought she was going to the candy store. So unless that thing's got a creamy chocolate center, I can't be blamed for this! Michelle: Well, we were on our way to the candy store when we passed a petting zoo. Joey: Well, apparently, you didn't pass it completely!

    • Danny: Okay, it's settled. We'll take Shorty to the zoo. Only question is, whose car are we taking? Joey: With a shave and a hat, we could get him on the bus.

    • Michelle: Anyone want to make a candy run with me? Joey:(Balancing a pencil on his nose) Not now, Michelle. We're working.

    Notes (2)

    • We learn Jesse does not know the words to the TV shows theme song Three's Company.

    • First (and only) appearance of Shorty the Donkey.

    Trivia (3)

    • When Danny signs for the picture of his great-great grandfather, you see him signing but when he turns around there is no clipboard in the deliveryman's hand.

    • Danny's great-great grandfather fought in the Civil War and was in Union.

    • When Danny tells Michelle she will have to clean up after Shorty, she says it's not a problem since she already cleans up after her pet hamster. When did she get a hamster, and where is it in the house? The only pet we've ever been shown is Comet.

    Allusions (2)

    • Danny mentions it being donkey season outside. This is a referrance to the Looney Tunes saying "Duck season" and "Rabbit season."

    • The title of this episode refers to the classic saying in stores "You break it, you bought it."
