    Notes (5)

    • The doctor on the Nimbus, who is reminiscent of Dr. Bones McCoy from Star Trek, is named Veins, according to one of the deleted scenes available on the DVD.

    • This is the first episode of Production Season 4.

    • The third act of the show was DRAMATICALLY cut down. Several scenes were deleted from the script, and even more were deleted from the animatic. The scenes that made it to animation but were deleted can be found on the Season 4 DVD.

    • It took staff members 40+ hours to find footage from the cartoon Casper of someone jumping out of their pants to match Zapp's line.

    • There was a shot of Kif's babies between his legs that never made it to air in the Fox broadcast. Adult Swim's broadcast shows this shot. There was a more disgusting shot, but it never made it to animation.

    Trivia (22)

    • In this and the future episode "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles," it is implied that Bender grew from an infant to an adult, however we know from the Season 3 episode "Bendless Love" that Bender was built in adult form.

    • One of Kif's babies has one eye, probably caused by Leela's dna. Actually, if you look closely or pause the show while the tadpoles first start heading toward the ocean, you will notice that several of them have only one eye.

    • It is revealed that Zapp either wears a hairpiece or a really bad comb over.

    • Kif's home planet is revealed to be 'Amphibious 9.'

    • Kif has several pictures on his wall of Zoidberg giving Amy 'rabbit ears' with one claw.
