    Bender's TWIN!

    By that70sguy92, May 04, 2009

A very funny episode, with Bender having a near clone, who has only one difference from Bender: a goatee. Fry gets to visit OLD New York with Bender and Leela.

Fry is excited by the chance to go back to Old New York, and experience the good old days with Fry and Leela. He goes there, and is disappointed, and when he steals a car, he accidentally runs over a robot. Fry, Bender, and Leela take the robot back to the Planet Express building. The robot, Flexo, looks just like Bender except for a goatee. When Bender and Flexo become friends, Fry gets jealous.moreless

    By stitch069917, Jun 16, 2008

Fry, Leela, and Bender go to an amusement park called Pastorama. While they are in the park, Fry tries to drive a car from his time and accidentally hits a robot. We learn that the robot is Bender's twin named Flexo. Flexo looks just like Bender except that he has a goatee. Bender asks Flexo to come back to the office. The Professor has another delivery assignment for the crew. They must deliver a valuable gem to the Miss Universe pageant. Bender convinces Professor Farnsworth to hire Flexo to help guard the valuable gem. Fry is extremely suspicious of Flexo and....moreless

    Lesser of two evils.

    By ShikaShAdOw, Mar 10, 2008

A really really really seiously underrated episode. It epitomises everything that's great about the show and the classic second series. Absolutely full of hilarious jokes, barely a line said in the whole thing that's not funny. Flexo is a great character with great jokes ("Yeah, 8 hours of solid boredom! Hahahahahah! No, I'm just kidding you're a wonderful man." and the brilliantly delivered "So? I look at lotsa atoms.") Other highlights include the Professor showing everyone the atom in the bath and the Bender/Flexo mislead. Bit of a subdued ending though. I just give it a plain out A+ for its greatness.moreless

    A good episode...

    By Iverson82094, Feb 02, 2008

While visiting the Past-o-rama theme park, Fry runs over a robot with an uncanny resemblance to Bender. They bring him back to the Planet Express building, where Professor Farnsworth repairs him. The robot's name is Flexo, and like Bender, he is a bending unit. The only physical difference between the two is that Flexo has a goatee. Bender and Flexo hit it off, but Flexo soon begins to grate on Fry's nerves.

The Professor reveals an atom of the fictional element Jumbonium, which the crew is to deliver to the Miss Universe pageant, to be held on Pova 9. Due to the value of the atom, the Professor hires Flexo as additional security.

Leela assigns Fry, Bender, and Flexo shifts guarding the atom, but when Fry's shift comes up he falls asleep and the atom is stolen. Fry not only suspects Flexo, but believes he has disguised himself as Bender. After Bender re-establishes his identity, Fry, Leela, and Bender head off to inform pageant host Bob Barker of the theft.

They burst into the contest in pursuit of Flexo, and he and Bender start to fight. At the end of the fight, Bender's chest cavity door is knocked open, revealing the atom. Flexo tells the rest of the crew that he had seen Bender steal the atom and left to inform Bob Barker. Leela learns that Zapp Brannigan is one of the judges.

With the atom recovered, and Flexo accidentally imprisoned for Bender's crime, the pageant concludes with a giant paramecium being crowned Miss Universe.moreless

    ....and then there was flexo

    By braf_bag, Nov 12, 2007

this episode is totaly one of the very best episodes of futurama ever written. with a mix of past o rama, flexo, a jumbonium tiera, a miss universe contest, and a mystery, it is undoubtably a master piece in cartoon form. its so good that god him self would be like " holy crap this is the best freakin' episode ever. futurama is awsome". This incredible episode unquestionably diserves a score of 10 out of 10 from any one who has ever had the pleasure of seeing this work of genius. to sum this episode up in one word "wow"moreless

Flexo joins the crew of Planet Express.

    By mataletea, Feb 01, 2007

While at 'PastORama' a theme park designed to be like the 20th Century, Fry runs over another bending robot 'Flexo'.

Bender and Flexo get along really well but Fry feels like a third wheel and does not trust Flexo.

When Flexo is invited along on the next mission, a mission transporting the crown to the Miss Universe Pageant Fry is very suspicious and suspects that Flexo will want to steal it. Fry watches over Flexo during Flexo's shift to safeguard the tiara, but falls asleep on his own watch and when wakes up he discovers that it has been stolen and Flexo missing.

The crew hunt down Flexo only to discover that it was their own lovable Bender that had stolen the tiara.moreless

    Introduction of Flexo

    By jimbo_001, Jan 31, 2006

This episode is one of my favourites starting with the 20th century "Pastorama" with Fry explaining that the phone booths weren't suicide booths but were used for bathrooms.

Another Bending unit, Flexo, appears in this episode and is a great character in that he's always joking in a serious voice.

The fact that the audience thought Bender was Flexo because he acts suspicious and is always covering his chin (where flexo's beard is). The end with Zapp Brannigan and the revelation that Bender took the tiara meaning "Bender is the evil bender? I am shocked ! Shocked! well, not that shocked."

My favourite scenes are when Fry is looking for Flexo in Leela's underpants drawer because "he wasn't here ten minutes ago so I thought I'd check again", when Farnsworth is discussing the tiara with the crew while he's in his bed, then bath and when Fry realises that the Bender he likes turned out to be evil. Great moral: Never trust anybody.moreless
