    Notes (33)

    • This episode's Flame Wars segment covers the confirmation of the development of the Superman Vs. Batman movie. As of 2008 his movie was never made nor has there been a move to create it. But it is interesting to note that the 2008 movie I am Legend had a movie marquee advertising the Superman Vs. Batman movie. A year after this episode aired (2003) DC comics released a comic called Superman/Batman, where the two heroes joined forces but did not battle each other.

    • This year end episode was extended 30 minutes to be an hour long.

    • This episode did not open with the usual "Starts Now" quote. Instead it had Laura and Tina welcoming Tommy as a Guest host previewing the episode's GTA theme.

    • The set is now located on the old Unscrewed set.

    • This episode has a major set change in that Laura is now sitting behind a counter away from the rest of the panel. Geoff and Tina are now standing at a table for the entire episode.

    • Geoff Keighley makes his official debut as the new co-host, replacing Scot Rubin.

    • Tina Wood did not appear in this episode.

    • Original episode titie was I'm Stuck in This Game and Can't Get Out! and had the panel answering viewer's questions on game play.

    Trivia (35)

    • While dicussing cheating on muliplayer games, Tina incorrectly pronounces caller Joe's name as "Joel." Joe's name is correctly listed in the lower corner.

    • Tina reads the members of the chat list at the end of the program and the first one listed was "Thug." This is future Host's Laura Foy's nickname and one can assume that she was moderating the chat room for the episode.

    • The show opened directly taking calls from viewers, without an official "Starts Now!" intro.

    • This is the debut of Laura's video game diary.

    • This is the first appearance of "Cut Scene Theater".

    • Geoff Keighley would go on to Guest Host in later episodes and eventually Co-host in it's fourth season.

    • First showing of "The Sims of Our Lives" skit.

    • Since this is an Easter episode the girls dress up in costumes. Tina - Pink Easter Bunny outfit Laura - Black Playboy Bunny outfit

    • Other G4 Show Laura: I thought Street Fury was going to show up there. Street Fury is a show also shown on the G4 network. It is a show devoted to car shows, the street racing scene and models. The IGN Live Laura is talking about displayed video games and cars.

    • Other G4 show - Attack of the Show Tina: it's kinda like Bono coming in and buying us and Attack of the Show. Attack of the Show is a show on G4 "that gets it before it gets out." It is a daily review of technology and entertainment news. You can find more information about AotS at Attack of the Show at TV.com.

    • Other G4 show - Street Fury During the IGN live segment, Laura makes references to Street Fury, a show on G4 that covers the Import car show-off and racing scene. Also the show is hosted by Big C, as referenced by Laura callin herself "Little C." You can find additional information on Street Fury at Street Fury at TV.com

    • Episode Title - Song Reference Episode is a play on the song by The Ramones called Blitzkrieg Bop.

    • Laura: The Spike Awards liked it. At the time, the Spike network was geared towards the same young male demographic as the G4 network. While some consider them to be competing networks, Laura may have brought it up as a dig to G4 cancelling G4tv.com. It is also important to note that Geoff Keighley also hosted a show on Spike called Game Head.

  • As an overall news sorce G4tv.com could never cut the cake for the true hardcore gamer that actually had access to the internet. However what it did have was an occasionaly interview or so which would lead to breaking news.
