    • Goof: In this Arctic set adventure, Shtarker says that he prepared a meal from the penguins wandering nearby. Penguins are actually native to Antarctica on the opposite side of the world.

    • The KAOS Capades Siegfried refers to KAOS's crack troop of ice skating commandoes as the KAOS Capades. Founded in 1940 and running to the present, The Ice Capades are an internationally touring show that showcases figure skating.

    • Siegfried: Well, it ain't Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald, cookie. Sharing a Canadian Mountie disguise with Shtarker, Siegfried evokes the memory of two great movie stars of the 1930's and 1940's. Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald were partnered in a number of movie operettas together, but the most fondly remembered is Rose Marie (1936) a story set in Canada in which Eddy played a Mountie. The most famous song from that movie was "Indian Love Song", whose opening lyrics ("When I'm calling you oo-oo-oooo") are used as password in the episode.

    • The Stanislavski Method Mentioned in this episode as a means of freezing the world invented, it as actually a technique of bringing realism and honest emotion to acting as developed by Russian actor Constantin Stanislavski (1863-1938). American actors routinely refer to the use of Stanislavski's system as Method Acting or "The Method".

    • Episode Title: Ice Station Siegfried The title is a take-off on the popular 1968 movie thriller Ice Station Zebra starring Rock Hudson and Ernest Borgnine.
