  • show Description
  • Good Morning, Miss Bliss was about a junior high teacher, Miss Bliss, played by Hayley Mills, and some of her students, including Zack, Screech, Nikki, Mikey, & Lisa. Miss Bliss was an innovative teacher, which did not always please her boss, Mr. Belding, who was the principal of the school. Miss Bliss had been widowed a couple of years before and so juggled her personal life with her commitment to her students. The setting of the show was JFK Junior High in Indiana. After the show was cancelled by the Disney Channel, NBC picked up 4 of the characters (Zack, Screech, Lisa and Mr. Belding) for a new Saturday morning series called Saved by the Bell, which became more of a teen sitcom concentrating on the antics of the students and was re-located to Bayside High School in Pacific Palisades, California.moreless

    • The role of Lisa Turtle was originally conceived as a Jewish white girl from Long Island.

    • The original theme song for Good Morning Miss Bliss was much different than the regular Saved By the Bell theme, which is used in reruns. It was called "These Are The Best of Times". The lyrics are: (Sung by male singer) Standing on the edge, there's no way of knowing. (Sung by female singer)What lies ahead or where the road is going. (Sung by male singer)So if our heart is smart, it won't wait for life to start. (Sung by male and female singer) Then I'll meet you somehow, I know tomorrow's here and now. These are the best of times, they'll stand the test of time. We don't need the years to show, what our hearts already know. These are the best of times, they'll stand the test of time. Though it's an uphill climb, I know we'll find a way to make each day, the best of times.

    • Goof: Miss Bliss mentions that the love letters to Lisa and Zack and Screech's term papers were all written on the same typewriter. Since Zack wrote the love letters and Screech wrote the term papers, they could not have used the same typewriter unless Zack and Screech share a typewriter between them.

    • On this episode near the beginning you can notice that on the board American is spelled as Amesican, clearly it was supposed to say Famous American Inventions

  • I like this shw better than the High School Saved by the Bell.

  • A prologue to "Saved By the Bell", "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" introduced Zack, Lisa, Screech and Mr. Belding. The show focused on Miss Bliss rather than the kids, showing her interacting with the kids at school and at home.
