  • Episode Description
  • When Coach tells Julie to toughen up for Deering's upcoming big game against Montrose, she rises to the challenge. However her excellent defense lands Montrose's star player, Dave Carter, who was destined for the NBA next year, in hospital with a serious injury. Julie loses her confidence and gets benched for the next game. She visits Dave in the hospital and he assures her that he doesn't hold her responsible for his injury. Meanwhile, Mary Beth and Kristy have problems of their own when an ATM spews $1000 out when Kristy asked it for $20. The bank had no record of their mistake and didn't want the money back, so the girls go shopping. However they began to have bad luck after keeping the cash.moreless

  • Quotes (2)

    • Coach K: Why don't you just ask for his autograph? Eugene: I was gonna wait until after the game, but okay. (he starts walking over but Michael stops him by grabbing the back of his jersey)

    • (Julie is eating a huge bowl of spaghetti) Mary Beth: Why don't you just lie on the floor, and I'll pour the food into your mouth?

    Notes (2)

    • The character Demopoulos is named after a writer of the series.

    • The whole scene with the ATM spewing out money is reminiscent of an episode of Three's Company where an ATM spews out just as much at Jack.

    Allusions (1)

    • Julie Connor (Daniella Deutscher): "Get in me belly!"
Julie is "loading up on carbs" for the big game, and after Mary-Beth passes her a roll, Julie looks at it, grins, and says "get in me belly!" This is a line from the popular (yet terrible) film "Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me" and is spoken originally by the character Fat Bastard (Mike Myers).
