  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (3)

    • Duke: What year is this?
Haven Man: It's 1955. It's the year you should think about sobering up.
Duke: Right. Actually I think it's the year I start drinking. A lot.

    • Duke: I want to thank you for bailing me out. I thought I was going to be in there until The Beatles.
      Roy: The who?
      Duke: Them too.

    • Nathan: Great. And if he was supposed to die, you've screwed up the natural order of things. Now, even if we get home, it is a completely different Haven.
Duke: The Gull could be a frozen yogurt shop and I could be a total douche?
Nathan: Or it's a completely different Haven.
      Duke: That was good.

    Allusions (1)

    • Audrey: Now, let's find Stuart so he can bring Duke back before he breaks more butterfly wings.
As a concept relating to time travel, fantasy and SF author Ray Bradbury originated this in his 1952 short story, "A Sound of Thunder." The term has its origins in chaos theory. Bradbury uses it to describe an alteration in the past where a single small event unwittingly caused by a time traveler (in this case, the death of a butterfly), generates widespread ripples affecting the future in an unforeseen manner.

well maybe nobody noticed but i saw Nathan react to pain when Sarah pulled his ear loab...Sarah and Audrey have same effect on him??? i think Emily looks even prettier as a redhead, but i am partial to redheads...

Assuming that Sarah/Lucy/Audrey are the same person in all timelines but with different memories and that she is immune to the troubles, it makes sense that Nathan would be able to feel her touch. I think Nathan felt her every time Sarah touched him.

Yes, because when she touches his face on the beach he gasps. (Although I'd forgotten about the ear pulling so you'd think he wouldn't be that surprised.)

And heck, I'll give it an extra rating point for Nathan's "Or it could be a completely different Haven" line. (see quotes)

Guess we know who the Colorado Kid's father is now...

    • cecylia248 Nov 18, 2012

I really want Nathan to be the father...but in the Halloween episode Audrey showed a Clare that Missing print out poster of James, it said his birthday was August 31.1956 so if this episode took place in November, then Yes! Nathan is the father. If as it said (on Duke's grandpa obituary), it was august 16 then there is No way Nathan got her pregnant (at least not on this time -trip) unless in Haven people's gestation period is 1 year instead of 9 months.

James Cogan was born on Aug 31, 1956, I think he was born earlier because the old lady asked Audrey in red hair, we named him "James". So Sarah did not name her baby James. Maybe she gave him up when he was 3 months old. Nathan could still be the Colorado Kid's father. Who knows?

Darn! I missed that part. Who is it?

    • Gislef Nov 17, 2012

Well, just speculation, but... Nathan traveled back to 1955. He spent time on the beach with Sarah. Nine months later or so, Sarah gave birth to James. So... :)
