  • The final two chefs prepare for their ultimate challenge. They must design their restaurants as well as create a winning menu. With everything on the line, Chef Ramsay sends them to the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, giving them each two advisers to take care of things in their absence. At Borgata, they meet with the C.O.O. and take part in a challenge to determine who will have first pick of the brigade. Back at Hell's Kitchen, they examine their restaurants and make their choices for the team that will aid them during the final dinner service.moreless

    • For the first time since season one, the chefs come up with names for their restaurants. Paula goes with "Sunergy", and Danny's is "Velvet Hammer". Also for the first time ever, there is no discussion with J.P. about the wait staff shown.

    • Rewards Challenge: Danny and Paula brought their menus with them to the Borgata Casino and Hotel. Larry Mullin, the C.O.O., was asked to pick three dishes from each of their menus. He picked a wild mushroom salad; maine mussels, crabs and shrimp & a roasted black bass from Andrea's menu. From Danny's menu, he picked the Caribbean jerk lobster tail, arugula salad with crispy duck & a pan-seared filet. Both chefs were then given 45 minutes to cook it all. Reward: Danny won the challenge with two out of three. His reward was that he got first pick for his brigade to join him during the final dinner service.
