    • Robert: (after the Mens' cycling grocery trip) I hope you all say something nice in my eulogy.

    • Ariel: (upon seeing her new Vita-Mix blender) I want to make love to it, that's how excited I am!

    • Jim: The women went by us as we were prepping. They all looked good... kinda. I mean, you can put a prom dress on a pig, you still can't dance with it!

    • Sabrina: (after she leads her team to victory by counting calories) I knew working in a spa would pay off sooner or later!

    • Chef Ramsay: At times I thought Jim was sleepwalking. But then I realized he just had no passion. And that's why it was time for him to leave Hell's Kitchen.

    Trivia (2)

    • Rewards Challenge: Chef Ramsay asked the teams to each create an appetizer, entree and dessert that together came in at under 700 calories using a set of provided, labeled ingredients. The Red Team won this challenge, impressing with all three dishes, while the Blue Team only managed to satisfy with a single dish. Reward: The Red Team was sent off in convertibles for a day of fun in the sun at Venice Beach. There, they played volleyball under the tutelage of Annett Davis, an Olympic volleyball player known as the "Queen of the Beach." Punishment: For losing, the Blue Team was made to prep both kitchen's for dinner service, which was held that evening. Additionally, they had to ride a tandem bike uphill to a local market to purchase fresh ingredients for the Red Team's dishes, which were added to that evening's menu.

    • Nominees for Elimination: Both teams performed poorly at dinner service and Chef Ramsay decided that there was no winning team. He asked both teams to come to a consensus on a single individual to nominate for elimination. The Red Team went with Sabrina, who served raw pork during the dinner service. For the Blue Team, Chef Ramsay asked Van whom they had chosen and he asked where Robert was, given that Robert had gone to the hospital and wasn't there for the dinner service. Ramsay stated that Robert definitely wouldn't be allowed back if he wasn't there for the next service, but for right now, he needed a nominee. Van said that he felt Andy was flustered under the pressure, and so he was their nominee. Eliminated: Neither. Chef Ramsay said that he felt there was one person in particular that he's observed that lacks passion, Jim. He told Jim to take off his jacket and leave Hell's Kitchen.

    Allusions (1)

    • Chef Ramsay: (to Jim) Big man, let me tell you something. I can teach a chef how to cook, but I can't give you a heart. You're not the Tin Man and I'm not the **** Wizard of Oz. Give me your jacket, please.
In stating his reasoning behind eliminating Jim, Chef Ramsay references the classic film The Wizard of Oz. In the film, the Tin Man didn't have a heart, and asked the Wizard to give him one. But just like the movie, a heart was not something that could be gotten from someone else; one either has one, or not.
