    • The sets used for Hey Dude were built on land located a half mile from the actual Tanque Verde Ranch. That way production could take place without disturbing the guests staying at the hotel. Most of the buildings still stand today, but they are gutted and run down. The pool scenes were the only ones actually filmed at the Tanque Verde.

    • Hey Dude was filmed on the property of the Tanque Verde Ranch, a former Spanish land grant that sits 2,800 feet up in the foothills of three colorful mountain ranges: the Tanque Verde, Rincon, and Catalina. The ranch's east border is the rugged million-plus acre Coronado National Forest, with the Saguaro National Monument to the south.
