    Allusions (1)

    • Washington: There are ten million rats in the big naked city.

This is an allusion to the closing line of the 1948 classic movie The Naked City: 'There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them.' It also became a recurring line in the television series of the same name in the fifties.
