    • Michael Warren shows his basketball skills in this episode. Warren played with UCLA during the time of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

    • David Haid is the real-life son of Charles Haid. He would go on to make one other appearance later in the show's run.

    • Shortly after this episode aired, Daniel J. Travanti hosted Saturday Night Live, appearing in a spoof of "HSB" with a cameo by Bruce Weitz.
