Story neatly concluded, a few twists, and a plot to outsmart Hitler

    By dougalderman, Oct 17, 2011

In this conclusion to the two-part episode, it is up to Crittendon (with a little help from his friends) to continue masquerading as the silly Sir Charles Chitterly and delay the betrayal of England. With some clever and racy trickery, Lady Chitterly reluctantly conspires with Hogan and the boys to delay an imminent trip to visit Hitler by recounting a fictitious tryst with Hogan some years before. While Crittendon is jealous of his new love interest, he pulls himself together to complete his portion of the mission.

The real Chitterly escapes his incarceration in the tunnel system and complicates things somewhat, although his wild stories of capture and imprisonment prove too much to believe and, when told to the Gestapo by Klink, are dismissed as drunken lunacy.

A carefully-designed conversation with Hitler by phone finishes the necessary plans to thwart the planned English surrender plans and destroy a portion of the Third Reich fleet.moreless
