    Allusions (2)

    • Hogan tells Schultz that the latter's singing will be bad news for Nelson Eddy. Nelson Eddy was a popular singer during the War era, appearing in many films, notably those co-starring Jeanette MacDonald. His performance in Rose-Marie sent fans scrambling for autographs and kisses.

    • Newkirk references Goldilocks and the three bears. This alludes to a popular children's fairy tale where Goldilocks inadvertently enters the home of three bears and innocently samples the bears' porridge and beds.
