  • Episode Description
  • Cornel Wilde becomes the one-hundredth movie star Lucy has seen in Hollywood. He is living in the penthouse directly above the Ricardo suite. Determined to get a glimpse of the handsome actor, Lucy disguises herself as a bellboy, then hides under the star's luncheon cart to gain entry into Wilde's suite. Things go smoothly until she finds herself locked out on Cornel's terrace and must make her way down the side of the building using a few blankets as rope. Swashbuckler Cornel Wilde guest-stars as himself in this episode.moreless

    • Lucy: (writing in her diary) Friday we went to Farmers Market. Saw Robert Taylor squeezing oranges. Ethel: Yeah, some oranges have all the luck.

    • Lucy: One of the biggest stars in Hollywood is right over my head, under my nose!

    • Lucy: For once in my life I'm not going to do what Ricky tells me. Ethel: For once in your life? You never do what he tells you. Lucy: So why spoil a perfect record?

    • Bobby is shocked by Lucy's ruthless behavior.) Bobby: How can anybody look so pretty on the outside and be so sneaky on the inside? Ethel: Isn't it awful? It's like smelling a rose and getting stung by a bee.

    Notes (1)

    • This is the first episode to make a referrence to Lucy getting an autograph on a orange from Robert Taylor, but that event never happened during any episode.
