  • Episode Description
  • Strange energy disruptions bring lots of attention to the desert – Stark Enterprises, Bruce Banner and the Leader. The cause turns out to be a Mandarin ring and solar energy keeps setting it off. Julia gets blasted, but is not killed – merely sent to another time. Iron Man recovers the ring, but before things can be set right, it is stolen by the Leader's robots – bringing the villain's total to two. His plan is to change the outcome of the gamma bomb test that first created the incredible Hulk. Getting that ring back is top priority for Iron Man, Jim and Bruce, but chaos ensues. Iron Man and an angry Hulk end up traveling to different time periods. Fixing this whole mess requires Jim and H.O.M.E.R. to team-up with the untrustworthy Leader.moreless

    Notes (4)

    • The only piece of Hulk transformation footage not used from the Fantastic Four episode "Nightmare in Green" was the scene at the end when the Hulk changes back into Bruce Banner.

    • The gamma bomb that goes off in this episode would later be used in a flashback sequence of The Incredible Hulk for the three-part season finale episode "Darkness and Light".

    • This is the second time that Iron Man has used his heavy demoltion exo armor, which has been given the name "Hulk Buster Armor" by Jim Rhodes.

    • Matt Frewer would continue to voice the Leader on the UPN The Incredible Hulk cartoon, later in 96.

    Trivia (2)

    • At the end of the episode, right before Iron Man flies into the Hulk, his jets are colored green, instead of their usual red and yellow coloring.

    • Towards the end of the episode, The Leader's goatee disappears and reappears several times.
