- Trivia & Quotes
Ironside: (holding Fran's hand at the hospital while she lies unconscious from a vicious attack, remembering when he first met her) Who let an underage kid like you through the police academy?
Fran: I'm not underage.
Ironside: Well, you're acting it. From now on you're to keep out of it. Leave it to professional hands.
Fran: I am professional.
Ironside: I should have said experienced professional hands.
Fran: You're not my boss.
(Ironside remembers more Fran moments from the past)
Fran: Chief Ironside.
Ironside: Officer Belding, what a pleasant surprise.
Fran: Surprise? You requested my transfer!
Ironside: I'm surprised you're here so soon.
Fran: I asked if this was a permanent assignment and nobody seems to know.
Ironside: Well, let's just say you'll be here as long as we need you.
Fran: Sir, I would like to make an official request to be returned to my former duty.
Ironside: Request denied, now stop acting like a tin soldier.
Ed: There has to be a common denominator, some link between the victims. Besides the fact that they are all female. Mark: Plus the attackers killing at random to cover up his real target. Ed: That's not unheard of. Ironside: Let's say it's true chances are he'd quit once he's achieved his goal. Ed: Vivian Dorsey? Mark: What if there's another one tomorrow? I know, I know, still today. Ed: Don't forget Fran kept bringing up her name. Ironside: When you saw Professor Dorsey and Dean Glenville, you said you felt an undercurrent of hostility and familiarity between them. Ed: I interrupted a fight. Ironside: I'm more interested in the familiarity. Ed: Well it was in the way she took her parting shot at him, sarcastic when she suggested getting an appointment thru his secretary and threatening when she mentioned calling him at home. Ironside: Like they'd been over that ground before.
