  • Episode Description
  • Crashing through another wall, the Storyteller and his dog come across stone statues. There they find a half buried head of a gorgon, that of Medusa. It begins with Acrisius, King of Argos being foretold that the son of his daughter will one day become king. So Acrisius banishes his daughter where Zeus visits her in a shower of gold and thus Perseus is born. But Acrisius eventually finds out and shuts the mother and son in a chest and throws them into the sea. But they survive and Perseus grows up; where, to save his mother from the wicked Polydektes, he vows to bring back the head of the Gorgon - Medusa. With the Gods giving him a sword, shield and advice, Perseus races to his fate...moreless

    Notes (1)

    • Frances Barber as Medusa is completely unrecognisable as the Gorgon, even a little scary, both due to make-up and the acting on her part.
