  • Episode Description
  • The story begins with the second Storyteller and the Storyteller's dog crashing through a wall of an old building, no - not a building, a labyrinth, the labyrinth built by King Minos of Crete - the labyrinth of the Minotaur. But the labyrinth has been deserted for centuries now and the Storyteller begins to recount the story of the Minotaur - half man, half bull, mad with anger and sadness and of how, every seven years, Athenians would send seven youths and seven maidens to Crete and to the labyrinth of the Minotaur. Only Ariadne comes and goes as she pleases into the Minotaur's labyrinth. Meanwhile, Theseus finds his true identity and his path will cross that of Ariadne and the Minotaur. Theseus will become a hero but Theseus has a problem, he makes promises that he never keeps and it is this which will make him lose everything - his way, his love and his family.moreless

    • Ariadne: You Gods who watch all Things! Hear my cry, mark my tears!! Let the sky fall on him! Let the sea swallow him! The Earth Drown Him! HE ABANDONED ME!!!!

    • (The Minotaur bellows awake from a Nightmare) Ariadne: Shhh, it's alright. It's a dream. Shhh, up here. (Leans over the ledge, letting her hand brush the head of the Minotaur) I'll tell you about the world outside, about the light, about the color of the sky. They say the sky's blue, but it's not! It can be a thousand colors, pinks, greys, color of gold, color of wine. (The Minotaur calms, growling softly listening to Ariadne) Ariadne: (gently)....and there are people. Familys..(trials of softly looking down) I'm somebody's daughter, I'm a daughter of a king....i'm a sister. You are a son...you are a...Brother.

    Notes (1)

    • The Storyteller's dog has his usual comments; he doesn't like Queen Medea much and he's scared of the Minotaur.
