  • Episode Description
  • After Bobby eats too much sugar one morning, he is mistakenly diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Feeling guilty about not spending enough time with her son, Peggy decides to give up teaching and be a stay-at-home mother, a decision Hank fully approves of. But Peggy is so bored at home that she starts taking guitar lessons, and composes a symbolic song about a turtle trapped in her shell, but thinks it's just a song with no meaning. Bobby takes pills for his ADD and starts acting very differently.moreless

  • Peggy's Turtle Song is fraught with Feminism issues and Poor, dumb Peggy gets taken for a ride along the way. Meanwhile, Bobby is diagnosed with ADD by the uncaring school nurse.

    • Emily: You wanted stuff with strong lyrics?

    • (Emily has shown up at the Hill house to teach Peggy guitar)
Dale: I thought you said family values were 'in' at your house.
Bill: Yeah, Hank. That gal's dressed kind of pro-choice.

    Trivia (6)

    • After the Mother's day recital the Hills are driving home in the truck. When they show Bobby saying, "Uh I didn't take my medicine" you can see the seat backing behind him is a dark green color. You can also see the framing and bars around the back window is also dark green. After showing Peggy and Hank again, it goes to another close up of Bobby and the seat backing is now light blue like the front seat backing. The framing and bars around the back window have also changed to a silver color.

    • When Peggy is leaving for her guitar recital, she is getting in the car and is wearing a pink sleeved shirt. Then there is a quick shot from behind the car, when Peggy is getting into her car, but her shirt is now a sleeveless green one.

    • Tagline: "And there it goes." -Bobby

    • Obviously it is done to set up the episode, but the doctor would have to be really horrible to do one test on Bobby and diagnose him with a disorder.

    • When Bobby gives Peggy Betsy, the guitar she has suddenly disappears and isn't shown again.

    • Every Girl Band Deserves Funday: This is obviously a poem to help Peggy remember the scale EGBDF. The more popular poem is Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge, but due to the woman being a feminist, it changed.

    • Reader's Digest is a magazine that is meant for the whole family.

    • Dale blames feminism on "Gloria Steinbrenner." While she is not a real person, Gloria Steinem is, and she is a feminism activist.
