  • Hank Hill, in this episode, is a stupid hypocrite.

  • This episode we relive the life and times of Ladybird's history with the Hill family. Hank has decided to let "his little girl" start dating and we end up in the vet's office discussing why Ladybird is having trouble concieving.

    • (in order for Bill to tell him if he is adopted or not, Bobby must schlep to a store 2 miles away to buy fertility biscuits because Bill likes the taste of them) Bobby (panting): Here you go, Mr. Dauterive. Bill: Only eight? Bobby: Those cost $26! Bill: Okay, Bobby. Ask your question. Bobby: Mr. Dautrieve, am I adopted? Bill: No. Now, I'll tell you your middle name if you get me a glass a milk. Bobby: Okay.

    • Bobby: Ladybird's gonna be a mommy. It seems like just yesterday mom and dad brought her home for me because I didn't have any brothers or sisters. If I had been able to talk, I would have asked for a monkey...

    • Peggy: You can't use my frequent flier miles! I need them to go to my aunt's funeral next year!

    • Peggy: The doctor said, Ladybird cannot get pregnant. Hank: I know, I know, but then I met some men. We went to a bar, and before it all went horribly wrong, they told me a bunch of things I can do to get Ladybird pregnant. 100.4! She's ready for a stud! (Peggy grumbles and walks off.) Hank: Peggy, quick! Call Buck Strickland! I put him on the speed-dial. Just press 'Peggy's Mother.'

    • Bounty Hunter Teacher: Congratulations class of Thursday A.M.

    Notes (1)

    • When Dale broke into his target's house, the theme to "Sanford & Son" was playing on the television. The music in the tag scene is the theme from the '70s sitcom What's Happening, by Henry Mancini.

    Trivia (2)

    • Ladybird has a cage outside, but it is never seen before or after this episode.

    • There was no tagline for this episode as it had a closing scene over the credits instead of the theme song.

    Allusions (3)

    • The title is an allusion to the term Pregnant Pause.

    • The man Dale hunts down is wearing a "Black & Decker" hat. Black and Decker is a company that makes tools.

    • When Dale is assigned his bounty hunter mission, he says "The hunt is on." This is a quote from the movie Lord of the Flies.
