  • Connie is sick and tired of her father forcing her to practice classical music and finds she loves Bluegrass. She decides to run off with Hank and the gang and form a band and compete in a contest in Branson. However, Hank starts pushing her just as much as her father did and Connie no longer wants to be a part of the band. Bobby is feeling ignored by his father, and when he has an opportunity to met a comedian he gets excited to show him a joke he wrote, in hopes his father would be proud.moreless

    • Connie: We only have enough money for a t-shirt or a row of tickets at the Andy Williams show.

    • Earl: You ever think about taking her to Branson? Hank: You think she's Branson good?

    • Bill: I want to hear "Puff the Magic Dragon". Play that song, I like it, play it... "Puff the Magic Dragon"! Hank: Bill, do you have any idea what that song is about? It's about a dragon!

    • Bobby: In America, you put "In God We Trust" on your money. In Russia, we have no money!

    Allusions (3)

    • Bill: Yakov is so funny. He should be the center square. I'm so sick of Whoopi.

This is an allusion to the gameshow "Hollywood Squares", where Whoopi Goldberg was permanently in the centre square at that time.

    • Puff the Magic Dragon: The song Bill suggests Hank play and then starts to sing is "Puff the Magic Dragon" which is the theme song from the 1978 TV special of the same name. When Hank asks "do you know what that song means?" it is an allusion to the fact that many people say it is about drugs.

    • The episode title alludes to the famous idiom The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
