Oh, that darn Peggy.
Another solid submission from the "KotH" people. This is another "Peggy Improvement" themed episode were Peggy's insecurities lead her to try and be something of someone she is not all the while coming to the realization that there is nothing wrong with her or the way she lives, and this time Bobby comes along for the ride. While we have seen this before, this episode manages to use the same plot without it seeming stale. Peggy and Bobby's willingness to buy or do anything they perceive to be cool or cutting edge is particularly hilarious in this episode. Their uber-coolness comes to a head with their "In-Your-Face" entrance into the party, and Peggy's Indiana Jones/Amazon Woman ensemble and Bobby's hoodlum gear. While focusing primarily on the adventures of Peggy and Bobby this week, Hank also has a side adventure involving a barn made into a restaurant, a meatloaf sandwich, and Hank's mild disdain of other people. Solid over all.moreless
I thought it was interesting how they have an episode about being cool centreing around cotillion, which hasn't been cool in, five years is it??? I don't think it was laugh out loud funny, but it was entertaining, and it was funny to see Peggy and Bobby try and be cool. I also liked the message of the episode, which is cool, really is non existent. I really enjoyed the B Plot, which is where most of the laughs for me came in. I love when they place Hank in an awkward situation. Overall it was a pretty good episode.moreless
Being cool is not what it's cracked up to be.
I think there is a point where we could all relate to Peggy about trying to be cool in order to fit in. But what I loved about this episode was the twist, Just when you think Peggy and Bobby are going to get screwed over on the deal, they get a bit of a surprise.
While I thought this episode was great, they should have used the song "Through Being cool" by Devo.
It was actually a very good episode. I liked the writing and I thought that it was also a fine example of classic King of the Hill. It was very entertaining and it contained many of the elements that have made this show really fun to watch. My favorite moment had to be where Hank has to find some place to sit and eat so he is left to sit at the big table. He brings his friends to be a buffer. Overall, this was a great episode and it was also very fun to watch. I was entertained and interested. Thank you.moreless
