  • Quotes (4)

    • KITT: Now, Aunt Martha, just sit back, relax, and leave all the driving to me!

    • Jobina: Is there anything I can do for you? KITT: Now that you mention it, yes. If you would be so kind to put me down. Jobina: Down? KITT: My dear, I'm a car, not a plane. Jobina: Oh, yes, of course you are. KITT: The release button is to your left. Jobina: (lowers KITT off car lift) So tell me, what were you doing up there in the first place? KITT: Spinning my wheels. (Jobina stares blankly) That was a joke.

    • KITT: Michael, are we hiding? Michael: No, we're just keeping a low profile for a while.

    • Sheriff Moore: That dishrag you put out you're calling "the press?" Jobina: Just as surely as you call those six high school dropouts a police force.

    Notes (5)

    • Music: Cover versions of Eric Clapton's "I've Got A Rock 'N' Roll Heart" and Bob Seger's "Shame On The Moon"

    • The German episode title is "Eine Musterstadt ohne Verbrechen", meaning "A City Without Crime". The French episode title is "Une si jolie petite ville", meaning "A Small, Pretty City". The Czech episode title is "Takové neslušné městečko", meaning "Such an Indecent Town".

    • It is clear that the town's layout was done on the set that would be used 2 years later as Hill Valley in Back to the Future.

    • The action-packed chase sequence in Act Four is missing from the earlier drafts of Frank Telford's script. Originally, Michael and K.I.T.T. drove to the Hallelujah Press offices via back-streets and alleys to avoid the police. In the episode, Aunt Martha doubles for Michael (wearing his leather jacket!) and speeds about town in K.I.T.T. to divert the police long enough for Michael to get there alone.

    • The footage of K.I.T.T. breaking Michael out of jail is re-cycled from the Pilot.

    Trivia (3)

    • When Devon is talking to Michael via the screen inside KITT, he is talking through the telephone. Generally he just talks into the camera in such instances.

    • As KITT does his impressive jump from the alley-way across the busy street, the oncoming camera angle briefly shows the jump ramp. Again, in the car chase at the end, when the villian's car supposedly hits and caroms off KITT's hood, the ramp is visible where a bush used to be.

    • When Sheriff Moore is talking to Ron Austin in the cell, at the top left of the screen the arm from the boom mic keeps dropping into view.

    Allusions (1)

    • Michael: I keep expecting to see Wally and the Beaver. This is a reference to the popular series Leave It to Beaver, which ran from 1957 to 1963. Wally and the Beaver were the sons of Ward and June Cleaver, and the show often revolved around Beaver's misadventures.
