    • KITT: Michael, this is becoming a career. Michael: What? KITT: That was a joke. Michael: Oh. I guess my sense of humor needs a tune-up. (pauses) That was a joke. KITT: (flatly) Oh.

    • Michael: KITT, get Devon. Tell him to send someone out to the warehouse, ASAP. I want those guards busted and out of the way where nobody's gonna find them. I'll hang here until someone gets here. KITT: I'll get right on it, Michael. Michael: (to David) Oh! It's a computer; it's replacing dog as man's best friend. (KITT follows Michael and David) Don't worry, he doesn't bite. David: It's not that, I just don't have much use for them. All they have ever done for me is screw up bank accounts and send me mail I don't need.

    Notes (9)

    • The noticeable lack of Michael and KITT in the story is due to it being designed as a test pilot for a potential new series about David Dalton, called Dalton's Code of Vengeance, where Dalton wandered the U.S. righting wrongs and helping the helpless. It first aired on NBC in 1985 with two episodes, and returned a year later for four more episodes.

    • Though credited, Rebecca Holden does not appear in this episode.

    • The German episode title is "Goldschmuggel", meaning "Gold Smuggling". The Czech episode title is "Hadí tlama", meaning "Snake's Maw".

    • Music: The Motels' "Remember The Nights" (cover version).

    • Although this episode's "proper" title is 'Mouth Of The Snake', it is also known as 'All That Glitters', the story's original working title, which the episode can still found billed as sometimes.
