  • Episode Description
  • Young swinging patrons of an exclusive dating service are turning up, dead of old age. The police don't believe they are the same persons, but Kolchak investigates and discovers that the head of the dating service is actually Helen of Troy, who sacrifices perfect young victims to Hecate, her patron goddess, in return for eternal youth and beauty. The fact that Helen is unaware one of the victims had a glass eye and lied about it on their form proves vital to Kolchak when he accidentally dons one of the rings that lets Helen sacrifice her victims in the appropriate manner.moreless

    • Kolchak: (opening narration) Nowhere in man's history does he display more tenacity, more perseverance, than in his search for eternal youth. Halting the relentless process of aging has been a constant dream of man's...and woman's. Eternal youth - is it really a dream, or is it possible that somewhere someone found the secret? The following experience gave me a new attitude on the whole subject of youth and aging.

    Notes (3)

    • This is Ruth McDevitt's last appearance as Miss Emily as well.

    • This is Jack Grinnage's last appearance as Ron Updyke - according to Mr. Grinnage he was approached to do a guest appearance on another series and by this time word was out that Kolchak was being cancelled.

    • This is John Fiedler's last appearance of three as Gordy the Ghoul. This means this episode is tied with "They Have Been..." for most main/recurring characters in one episode - Carole Ann Susi doesn't appear here but Ruth McDevitt didn't appear in that episode.

    Trivia (2)

    • Trivia: Since Kolchak revealed in "The Spanish Moss Murders" that his greatest fear is dentists, it's ironic that Bella Sarkof picks a dental assistant as Kolchak's ideal mate.

    • Why didn't the police just identify the bodies by their fingerprints? Or maybe they did and hushed it up...
