  • Nora rebels against being treated as a mere plaything by her husband Torvald. She wants to be a companion rather than just someone to be protected.     • This Ibsen story was first staged on Kraft Television Theatre 6/18/1947 and later by Hallmark Hall of Fame 11/15/1959.

    • The 4/3/1950 edition of Time magazine reports that other TV drama series like NCISPhilco Television Playhouse and Ford Theater have weekly budgets averaging $20,000. Kraft Television Theater however, spent a tiny $6000 per week, paying a maximum of $250 for actors and $500 for scripts.
