    Moving and thought provoking.

    By SuperReviewer, Jun 18, 2011

I liked the continuance of the assault storyline. From previous episodes, I thought Olivia's assault was not being dealt with and she was ignoring it. But, in this episode Olivia said that she put her attacker in jail (although not for her assault, for someone else's), got counseling and got her life back. Yes, we saw her in counseling and still struggling to come to terms, but I thought the fact that it was adversely affecting her job performance meant that she hadn't dealt with it. If she's hesitant or unstable in a situation (such as in "Persona") shouldn't she be taking some time off until she's confident in situations involving guns and criminals?

Then there's Elliot. He either doesn't know about Olivia's assault (she told him nothing happened), doesn't know exactly what happened (he has an inkling), or someone told him/he figured it out and he's not sharing. When Olivia said "I can protect her from the damage." Elliot told her "No you can't. You should know that better than anyone." I think it showed he knows something. However, the question is are they going to play that out or is this storyline over?

My favorite parts: I love how they all walked away from the guy at the end. Great ending.

And that debate over porn with Benson, Stabler, Fin, Munch and Greylek in the squad room. Touchy subject and I thought that debate was thought provoking.

Olivia did get her way somewhat. She didn't want to tell the women what had happened to them, but she realized that was not realistic if they wanted to stop Lutz. But, they only told as many victims as it took to put Lutz away. After she found his ex-fiance, the fifth victim didn't need to be found, and so she is able to live as if it never happened.

Parts I didn't like so much: Benson and Stabler seem to do a lot of independent investigating this season (and last for that matter). I understand Elliot had to go to Laurel when Olivia refused, so I'm not talking about that time. But after that, Olivia pretty much took over the case. They used to do this together, or at least discuss what should be done. Or if one went on their own, there was an explanation (like Elliot had to make it home for dinner or something). Now, they just do their own thing. I don't get that.moreless

    Drugs, porn and ego

    By XMLarry, Jun 18, 2011

Disturbing and yet a very well handled episode on the dangers of drugs that cause memory loss. Everyone knew what this guy was up to but covered his tracks really well until the trial. Good piece of work playing that video in the courtroom and causing him to "stand up". A bit of sting work to catch him at his own game and he's toast. I would have liked to have seen and known more behind the scenes of the "feud" or whatever it was between the two attorneys but I guess we can leave that for another time and another episode. I do think Olivia's dealing with her own assault is getting overplayed a bit. One can understand what she is going through but we don't need to be reminded of it in every single episode.moreless

Nobody can remember who raped them, even though they're all on tape.

    By bobbyhalcomb, Jun 18, 2011

Okay, this episode was sooooo annoying! The fact that they dragged the episode to fill a whole hour was beyond me. It was like the writers had this amazing plot but when they were like 'oh this can be solved so easily,' they decided to come up with dumb ways to keep the episode going.

First of all, all they had to do was explain the drug that was used on the girls and how they acted was BECAUSE they were drugged and having on camera is proof. That's all they needed to do, but instead they dragged it on, bringing up issues that were totally not needed and made me so frustrated during this episode. Definantly not one of the better ones.moreless

    Another great episode!

    By JPPT1974, Jan 02, 2009

This was another great episode. And that this was really one of the best shows. After a pretty rough season this year in 2008-2009. We get to see a great one this time. About a killer, who had memory loss. And tried to cover up his tracks. He was really arrogant and thought he could get away with it. When he really began to sweat in court. That really showed, his true colors and character. Olivia's assault thing, had no business in this storyline. It should had not been in this episode. Maybe another episode. But not this one. But nonetheless, a great episode.moreless
