    Allusions (1)

    • This episode appears to be ripped from the headlines of the George Franklin case. In the 1990s, Eileen Franklin-Lipsker claimed to have recovered repressed memories while under hypnosis that, years earlier, her father had brutally murdered her best friend, Susan Nason. George Franklin was initially convicted of first degree murder, but once the court learned that Eileen had admitted to being hypnotized prior to recovering this memory, and also that Eileen's recollections matched erroneous newspaper accounts rather than the true series of events, Franklin's conviction was overturned.
