  • Quotes (3)

    • Nate: It's sort of like the fear of having to fight one of them is what keeps everything cool.
Parker: Oh! Schelling's Theory of Rational Deterrence. (everyone stares) The Cold War?
Nate: That's actually, terrifying, exactly right.

    • Craig: But until you have a family, I would never expect you to understand.
Eliot: Yeah, you're right. I got no family. Not like you mean. But I had brothers. I had a lot of 'em. I didn't know all their names--not all of 'em--but I knew their faces and I knew their rank. And I did things that I didn't want to do because they counted on me--bad things for good reasons. And you know what I learned? Bad choices are bad choices. Didn't matter why you made them. And they tear you apart from the inside out. And you don't even notice.

    • Sophie: You having a staring contest with a turtle?
Nate: No, I just won a staring contest with a turtle.
Sophie: Is it weird that I find that oddly attractive?
