  • James Culver is an American who lives in the states, working as an investigator for a famous British insurance company (think Lloyds of London). His British colleague and old friend is Edward Wingate, who he's constantly ribbing about his country and traditions. Culver has two daughters, Elizabeth (age 13) and Margaret Ann (age 8) and raises horses on a Virginia farm, with help from his father.
