    • Lois: (when she learns Clark hasn't really become partners with Linda) So you mean that I've been having all of these feelings for nothing?! Clark: What feelings? Lois: Forget it! I'm not feeling them anymore.

    • Linda: Speaking of bodies, that partner of yours? Great one- buns of steel! Lois: How would you know?! Linda: You don't need Superman's x-ray vision to figure that out.

    • Lois: (in a high pitched voice) How can you be so calm?! Perry: What's my choice? Lois: Well, since I've been here, I've seen you scream, I've seen you throw things, I even saw you put your fist through the conference wall once.

    • Perry: The Star has been selling twice as many newspapers as the Planet, both newsstand and subscription! Can anybody explain this to me? Lois: Bigger type, smaller words?

    • Clark: You should be happy to see this Lois: OK, I see it, when do I get happy?

    Trivia (1)

    • Goof: When Linda King asks Superman about saving a woman from a burning hotel, he says the visibility was bad, and that the woman had three children. But he was shown catching her on the ground, not up high, so visibility (which seemed fine in the shots shown) could not have been an issue. And how did he find out about those three children since all he does is catch her and walk away to be interviewed?!

    Allusions (4)

    • In the teaser when Clark is playing around with the basketball, the song "Sweet Georgia Brown" is being whistled, which is the theme of The Harlem Globetrotters.

    • Bo Jackson's appearance in the teaser makes reference to the series of Nike commercials using the marketing pitch "Bo knows..."

    • When Lois says she doesn't care if Clark liked Linda King or Don King. Don King is a self made man and a famous American boxing promoter who is known best for his outrageous hairdo.

    • Preston Carpenter tells Linda King that he desires the power of Charles Foster Kane, the lead character of the Orson Welles' iconic film Citizen Kane.
