    • Loretta Young returns to her series this week after having been stricken with peritonitis on April 10th. She was hospitalized for months. She told syndicated TV columnist Bob Thomas that she had been exhausted from overwork and that had slowed down her recovery. With that, she announced that she would only be appearing on the series every other week.

    • Loretta Young was nominated for an Emmy┬« Award as "Best Actress-Single Performance" for this episode. When the winners were presented 3/17/56, the prize went to Mary Martin for Peter Pan on Producer's Showcase.
