  • Quotes (5)

    • Radar: Sir, I have a message from Gen. Hammond. Henry: Radar, don't interrupt, unless it's a message from Gen. Hammond. Radar: Yes, sir. (gives Henry the message, he reads it) Hawkeye: Are we surrendering?

    • Hawkeye: Now when were all of us really happy here? Trapper: When the nurses were new?

    • Frank: Here's tomorrow's routine. Make sure that it's posted. Radar: They're not gonna like this. Frank: I didn't come here to be liked. Radar: You certainly came to the right place.

    • (Hawkeye gives Henry a going-away present) Henry: Normally I'd soak this in a pail of water, but this being my last day... Hawkeye: Actually it's a prescription for your health. (Henry pulls out a brassiere) Have it filled in Tokyo.

    • Hawkeye: Do you mind if we swim through?

    Notes (1)

    • "Henry Please Come Home" has one of the biggest goofs in the series. After accepting a post in Tokyo, Henry is happy. Hawkeye and Trapper go to Tokyo to get Henry back to the 4077th. They convince Henry that Radar is sick. So they go back to Korea, but the chopper they take back from Seoul to the 4077 is an Aerospatiale Alouette II, a French built helicopter that never saw action with the United States. In fact it was designed and built in 1954, one year after the Korean War ended. Perhaps the creators thought this helicopter would be a logical choice because of its lattice tail work made it look like a Bell 47 from a distance.

    Trivia (2)

    • As Henry is receiving his medal, Hawkeye walks up and stands close behind a man who is standing up and two women who are sitting down. The camera angle switches to show Hawkeye talking to Trapper and now they are standing behind two standing women.

    • When they are sitting in the tent trying to figure out what to do about Frank, Hawkeye rests his arm on Ugly John's leg. However when they cut to Ugly John and Radar, Hawkeye's arm is no longer there, but when they cut back to Hawkeye his arm is still resting on Ugly John's leg.

    Allusions (1)

    • When Hawkeye gets the passes to Tokyo, he said he promises peace in our time. Neville Chamberlain, England's prime minister before WW2, promised this through negotiations with Hitler.
