  • Maude mentions in conversation that Walter is a Maytag dealer.

  • In August of 1999 TV Land aired this episode as the first in their "Maude-a-thon" marathon, bringing the show (as it turned out very temporarily) to the network's regular line-up.

  • After Walter and Arthur do their dance with the umbrellas, they hang them up on the coat rack.  Almost 5 minutes later in the episode while Walter is making a bloody mary, you can STILL see the umbrellas' ongoing momentum because they are actually still swinging in the background.

  • During the first appearance of Carol in this episode, she tries to say a line which includes the words "Philip's birthday cake," but she almost forgets the line and says "FFFFF  Philips birthday cake."

  • The salesman that Florida tells off in the beginning of the episode is played by Johnny Brown, who would later play her building superintendent, Nathan Bookman, in the Maude spin-off "Good Times"

  • After the first appearance of the furnace repairman, Florida goes out to talk to Maude, and almost forgets her line as she says "that FFF furnace fixer."
