  • Episode Description
  • Amanda is forced to confront her Scrooge-like behavior when Bruce appears to her in a dream and leads her in a version of The Christmas Carol. He encourages her to break free of the hold that Peter has over her. She visits Alison at the rehab center to apologize, and ensures that Bruce's children are financially secure. Terry becomes jealous after seeing Billy and Alison together, and admits his own feelings for her. Matt and Jo tell Peter that Kimberly has stolen her baby. Peter orders Michael to return the child to Jo. Kimberly goes ballistic and tries to throw herself in the ocean. After Michael saves her, she calls Mrs. Carter to tell her that her grandson is alive. Jeffrey breaks up with Matt because he needs time alone to cope with his illness. Jane convinces Syd to come home for the holidays.moreless

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • Amanda (to Billy): You make it sound like I'm supposed to be flattered that Alison picked me as the worst of her problems.

    • Amanda: Billy may have fallen for the pity act, but not me. I know that I can't fire you while you're here at Pity Me Pines, but I wouldn't plan on making a career at D&D.

    • Amanda: 12,000 dollars for a bunch of psycho babble. Too bad we couldn't shred it off as severance payment.

    • Kimberly (about the baby): He was the only one I loved more than my own life!

    • Michael: You wanted to see me? Peter: No, I wanted to kill you. But that moment has passed.

    Notes (2)

    • At the 1995 Golden Globes, Heather Locklear was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Drama; and Laura Leighton was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

    • "Christmas All Over Again" by Tom Petty plays over the festive establishing shots; "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" plays in the background at the beach house as Michael and Kimberly play with the baby; "O Come All Ye Faithful" plays as Amanda brings gifts to Bruce's family; and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by the Pretenders plays over the Twin Oaks p.a. system during Alison and Terry's kiss.

    Trivia (1)

    • When we see Amanda as a little girl, she is all alone as her father leaves her. But shouldn't Hillary be around? After all, she didn't leave her until she was 12.
