  • show Description
  • The Sahara is the size of the United States with a population the size of Norfolk, a small UK county. The temperatures are extreme, the camels are poisoned ... this is another of Michael Palin's exciting globe-trotting adventures. During his travels across theSahara Desert, Michael meets interesting people, learns about their cultures, and goes through what they do in their everyday lives. He visits the countries of Gibraltar, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Niger, Libya, Tunisia and Algeria. But this is no easy task. Traveling in the immense heat of the Sahara, our host suffers through illness, dangerous lands with no government, and harsh climates to learn more about the world. In just four episodes, Michael teaches viewers about life in the Sahara Desert.moreless
