  • Such a perfect way to end a season...or whatever they did with this episode.

  • This show just went nowhere and the very loud music track just never ended.

  • Monk goes to a rock concert, as the title suggests, to help Stottlemeyer look for his son. While at the concert, they receive a case.

  • Quotes (7)

    • Crowd: You suck! Monk: I know. It's true, I am a straight. But I have a dream. A dream that someday, all the hippies and all the straights will live together side by side... not too close.

    • Monk: I skipped school to go see the rock show. Yea, I went to see the "Stones."

    • Natalie: You thought they were real rocks. Like a geology exhibit, like a museum? Monk: Maybe. Perfectly understandable mistake. Stottlemeyer: No, not really.

    • Monk: It was rough, it was like some kind of medieval torture device. Natalie: Yeah, I know. I actually read that the Spanish Inquisition used to lock people in portajohns. Monk: It wouldn’t surprise me.

    • Kendra: Excuse me, excuse me. Hi, I heard some cops talking back there. They said you were some kind of detective? Monk: That's true, I am some... kind... of detective.

    Trivia (7)

    • At the start of the scene, Natalie's purse is over her shoulder. After she starts to lead Monk away, it's over her elbow, and then as soon as the dead body falls out of the port-a-john and Natalie recoils, it's back on her shoulder.

    • Lighting conditions change significantly throughout the episode. For instance, when Monk is making his way through the crowd to the port-a-johns, the lighting suggests that it is the middle of the day. However, minutes later, at 12:15, when Monk and Natalie discover Stork's body, the sun is lower and it looks like the sun is setting. Later on, when Monk and Natalie are at the first aid tent, the lighting suggests that it is midday.

    • When Monk and Natalie are at the police station and Stottlemeyer is grabbing a file from the filing cabinet, there is an angle change where Natalie instantly goes from looking at Stottlemeyer to looking over her shoulder at Monk.

    • When Stottlemeyer answers his cell phone at the police station, the uniformed cop at the desk directly behind Monk and Natalie changes position during a change in angles.

    • There are some continuity errors with the songs that are played on stage during the episode. The one that is being performed when Monk, Natalie and Stottlemeyer are walking through the parking lot is being performed again when we see the medical examiner looking at the body. A song that plays when Monk is in the parking lot amongst the tailgate parties is later heard again in the scene where Monk and Natalie first meet roadie Kendra Frank, despite the fact that one other song has been performed. It seems very unlikely that any rock concert would do the same song twice in one event.
