  • The exo-skeleton makes another appearance, and a better than it sounds version of the boy who cried wolf.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (6)

    • Jenny: (mulling over a quiz in her favorite teen magazine) I think I'm a "Winter"...but what if I'm really a "Spring", with "Autumn" overtones?

    • Jenny: (to Tuck) You do know what the word "Help" means don't you? Tuck: But I do need your help. Jenny Really? How's that? Tuck: I have a splinter. Jenny: Tuck, thats not what I meant by... Tuck: (with tears in his eyes) Oh so my stupid little pain isn't important enough for you. Is that it? Jenny: No, thats not what I said... Tuck: So I'm never gonna see you unless I'm about to be run over by a train. Jenny: No! Of course not... Tuck: Or crushed by a gorilla, or swallowed by the loch ness monster!? Jenny: That's ridiculous... Tuck: I thought you wanted to have friends like a normal kid? Jenny: I do. Tuck: I thought we were friends. Jenny: We are! Tuck: Well as a friend let me give you a little advice about friendship, friends help friends out, not just with the gorilla size problems, (holds up finger) but with the splinter size problems too.

    • Tuck: (to Jenny) And since we were speaking of cool things how could I resist mentioning that I live next to a LASER BEAM SHOOTING, ROCKET POWERED, KICK BUTT SUPER HERO!!!

    • Jenny: (about The Boy Who Cried Wolf) How does this story end anyway? Brad: I don't know. Maybe he gets a ticket for disturbing the peace.

    • Brad: Who are you going to believe: me or some stupid book? Jenny: You're the one who gave me the stupid book in the first place!

    Trivia (4)

    • Near the end of "The Boy Who Cried Robot, when Jenny flies out the window to save Tuck, look at her leg that Brad isn't hanging on to - it's white with a blue toe instead of blue with a white toe.

    • Freeze is spelled wrong when the letters are over the freezer. It is spelled "FREZE" instead of "FREEZE."

    • When the Exo-Skin tells Jenny "We'll have the boys eating out of the palms of our beautiful, normal hands" you can see Jenny's Exo-Skin hands in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. If you look closely, you can see four fingers and a thumb on each hand. However, characters in this show - including Jenny in the Exo-Skin and regular, robotic XJ9 - only have three fingers and one thumb!

    • When all of the people left the building, what happened to the bouncers?

    Allusions (7)

    • When Jenny's Exo-skin has taken over her mind and Jenny tries to fight and remove it in several ways, this could be a reference to Spider-Man. When Peter Parker is under the influence of the symbiote Venom, he tries to fight the urge as much as he can, even to the point of forcefully removing it.

    • Title: The Boy Who Cried Robot Obviously, the title is a reference to the childhood story, The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

    • Exo-Skin: (attacking Jenny)
In "Return of the Raggedy Android," the part where the exo-skin attacks Jenny when she's sleeping is a reference to a scene in The Grudge, where the ghost attacks a lady from under her bedcovers.

    • Jenny: I think I'm a winter, but what if I'm really a summer with spring undertones?
There was a book back in the 1980s called Color Me Beautiful that told people what season they were so they could dress better.

    • Tuck's Friend's Names: Lon, George, and Carver Tuck's scarier friend was probably named Lon because Lon Chaney Jr. played the Wolf Man in the 1941 movie The Wolf Man. Lon, in "The Boy Who Cried Robot," acted spooky, like a wolf man, especially when he told Tuck that it was time to meet the wolf. (Meaning, as we later found out, that he was going to introduce his dog, Wolfie.) The other two were probably named George and Carver as a reference to George Washington Carver, the inventor of peanut butter.
