  • Peggy: I met this elderly man who said he hopes I find what I'm looking for. Declan: Which is what? Peggy: My father. My parents divorced when I was 10 and we moved in with my mother. I only saw him a few times, and then nothing. Declan: What do you mean nothing? Peggy: Nothing. I haven't seen my father since I was 14. So I may not find what I'm looking for, but maybe Adele and her daughter will. Declan: There's all kinds of family.

  • George: My sister keeps saying that what happened was a wake up call. I'm just waiting for God to tell me what happens next, you know? Declan: Yep, I do know. I know exactly what you mean. Few years back I was out skiing by myself when I got trapped in an avalanche. George: Wow. Declan: I was under the snow, running out of oxygen, when all of a sudden a shovel hit me in the head. It was my own personal wake up call. George: That is so weird, I mean the same kind of thing happening to both of us. Declan: So I know exactly how you feel. You're wondering what you're gonna do next right? George: Yeah, yeah. How do you know? Declan: You gotta find your fuel George, you gotta find your passion. Before my accident I didn't have much direction in my life. I drank too much, I was angry at the world, I slept too much, I had a job but I didn't get anything out of it. George: You quit? Declan: No no, I didn't quit, same job I have now. I found my fuel. I found what it is that gets me out of the bed in the morning. I found my passion. George: What was it? Declan: Amazing coincidences, miraculous phenomena.

  • Declan: OK, he bounced off the building and that slowed him down a little, right? Miranda: A little. Declan: Then he bounced off the tree, that slowed him down even more, right? Miranda: A little. Declan: How much is a little? Miranda: Less than a lot. Declan: How much less than a lot? Miranda: A little. (Declan sighs in despair and walks away)

  • Declan: He's exactly the same as I was after my avalanche. He's a little confused, a little disoriented, trying to figure out the meaning of stuff. Peggy: If there is meaning. Declan: Peggy, don't play the coincidence card on me, please. I mean, there's meaning in this. Peggy: OK, it is amazing. And go ahead, investigate the miracle, just be careful. Declan: Careful of what? Peggy: You took the avalanche as a sign to change your life. George may not be ready to do that. Declan: I wasn't ready at first either Peg, you should have seen me. It took me weeks to sort out how I felt about what was going on. Peggy: But you made the decision to change your life, and George needs to make the decision to change his life too. It doesn't need to be made by someone else.
