  • A very interesting, although somewhat predictable case.

  • I liked where McGee and Tony broke into the police impond lot and downloaded the nav system info and McGee's character appears to be getting a bad boy image. ie. polygraph retake & B&E all illuding to very interesting spin on McGee's character.

  • Quotes (5)

    • Ducky: That coffin looks expensive. Abby: It is! It's top of the line. But it's new -- factory made -- it has no personality. Mine, on the other hand, is like a Stradivarius -- handcrafted by Bavarian artists in 1870. Ducky: (musing) It doesn't make sense to spend a fortune on something that is going to be viewed for a couple of hours and then stuck in the ground to rot! Abby: MINE has, and will continue to provide me, with hours of restful sleep and pleasure!

    • (While observing Summer's interrogation) Tony: No way, honey-bunny, he's not through with you! Ziva: She knows more than she's telling. McGee: So, what do you think – how is he going to break her down? What's his style? Tony: He's leading with the Creepy Uncle, but I think he's going to go with the Father Figure You Can Trust. McGee: Nope. I think he's going to go with the Classic In-Your-Face Gibbs. The Intimidator.

    • McGee: Boss, I'd better go down and reschedule that polygraph test. Gibbs: Don't bother McGee, nothing wrong with the first one. McGee: What do you mean? Gibbs: I think you made an impression on the examiner. (McGee looks very confused) I think she made an excuse to see you again. (McGee still looks confused, Gibbs gets frustrated) You want me to draw you a picture?! McGee: (finally getting it) No. I'm gonna handle it boss.

    • Abby: I only take orders from one person; Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Unless he asks me to do it, it doesn't get done. Detective Sportelli: I think that's gonna change honey. (Gibbs walks in) Abby: Gibbs! Make this awful man go away.

    • (McGee hangs up the phone) McGee: That's strange. Tony: (While playing with a pen at his desk) Is that for our benefit McGee? Are we supposed to ask what's wrong? McGee: That was polygraph, I have to take another test. (Tony gets up and walks to McGee) Ziva: You took your annual last week. McGee: They want me to re-take it. Tony: You failed your polygraph? That's not good. McGee: No, I didn't fail it. They said I have to take it again. Tony: Why would you have to TAKE it again? (McGee glares at Tony) Don't ask, don't tell. You didn't make the mistake of coming out did you? McGee: I don't have anything to come out about. Tony: Stick to that story McQueen.

    Trivia (12)

    • GOOF: When Ducky talks about Arnett also being murdered, he uses the term "infer." The correct term in that sentence would be "imply," not "infer."

    • TRIVIA: While in this episode the team investigates the death of a blogger, Michael Weatherly (Tony) played a blogger in the series Dark Angel.

    • GOOF: Tony tells Detective Hanley that she shouldn't wear a scarf at crime scenes, because the fibers could contaminate evidence. However, in Episode 5x11 "Tribes," Ziva wore a scarf to the murder scene (which she put over her head when she and Gibbs then visited the victim's mosque).

    • TRIVIA: We learn that McGee was born in Bethesda, Maryland. Sean Murray, who plays McGee, was also born in Bethesda, Maryland.

    • GOOF: When Tony interviews the judge that the blogger had smeared, he is told about how went from being a federal judge nominated for the Supreme Court to teaching in a community college because of him. However, federal judges have lifetime appointments. So even if his Supreme Court nomination had to be withdrawn, he could have continued to be a judge despite the scandal.

    Allusions (3)

    • McGee figured out that Arnett and Sutton met when they took the same train everyday. The same thing happened in the CSI:NY episode "Commuted Sentences" when two assault victims decided to go after the people who assaulted them.

    • When confronting Sutton at the end, Tony refers to Alfred Hitchcocks' 1951 classic Strangers On A Train, with Farley Granger and Robert Walker.

    • Tony: He's [Sportelli] the police detective that made the mistake of tugging on Superman's [Gibbs'] cape. This alludes to Mark Harmon's upcoming role as the voice of Superman in the animated feature Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. This is also a reference to the Jim Croce song, "You Don't Mess Around with Jim"
