    • Mark: (on rummaging for fabrics) I felt like I was an Asian lady haggling for cheap bananas in Vietnam.

    • Mark: (when Sophie's suit is much too small) If I'm in Sophie's position at this point right now, I would make a noose out of my tape measure and slowly hang myself, because man, that's huge work!

    • Leigh: (referring to Helen lying on the boardwalk relaxing) Can someone call Greenpeace because there's a beached whale sunning herself!

    • Shane: The closest I've come to doing swimwear is outfits for strippers.

    • Henry: (when Helen complains Oren used her pattern block) I think time's not on your side, it's another gorgeous day in fashion, the claws are out, and now they're all filed and they're all polished, and ready to go. Juli: (translating in an interview) Henry basically said, 'Get over it', which was the best advice Henry's ever given anyone.

    • Mark: (learning he must create his garments out of car parts) This is so butch for me right now!

    • Lui: (when his client says she loves his dress) The feeling that I have is just like a fish, had finally found the water. It's a life.

    • Leigh: (referring to his client's dress) Not going to get finished. She's got a nice body so she'll look good going down the runway in her underwear.

    • Guest Judge Karen Webster is the director of the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

    • According to the Reality Ravings website's article on Project Runway Australia, Guest Judge Peter Morrissey was one of the finalists under consideration as the show's regular Judge, but lost out to his former protege and employee Jayson Brunsdon. They also report that relations were rather chilly between the two men during the filming of this episode.

    • Returning Guest Judge Karen Webster is the director of the L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

    • This week's guest judge is Kelly Rowland, formerly of the singing group Destiny's Child.

    • Guest Judge Judy Coomber is Myer's Merchandise Director for Fashion and Beauty.

    • Also Featured Joe Bailey, Celebrity Hair Stylist

    • According to, Juli was meaning to have a fairly large, 150 guest wedding sometime in September, but instead had a quick registry marriage with only ten people as witnesses. So apparently the inspiration she received from this episode's wedding dress theme was insufficient to overcome the sheer amount of work she had to do to get ready for Fashion Week.

    • Jayson Brunsdon and Sarah Gale do not appear in this episode.

    Trivia (42)

    • Leigh won this challenge, and Alison was eliminated.

    • On the runway, Leigh is wearing a tie made of the same yellow and gray striped fabric that he used to make the bodice and bow of his evening gown.

    • Mark won the challenge, and Deborah was eliminated.

    • For a second week in a row, Helen comes to the rescue of a fellow designer who otherwise would not have been able to complete their garment. It almost backfires on her this time, however, when she lands in the bottom two herself.

    • When first coming onto the runway to brief the designers, Kristy is carrying a black velvet back, which usually indicates on PRA's sister show Project Runway that they will be drawing for new models, but the bag is never opened.

    • Brent won, and both Oren and Sophie were asked to leave.

    • Juli won this challenge, and Shane was the loser.

    • Helen says that she had previously made dresses for five out of eight of the woman there for the competition, and even offers the phone number of Leigh's client to him when he says that he wants her available for the creation process.

  • Well it has a lot to live up to, but I think this version of a hit will last and perform well. Good viewing for both old and new viewers.
