Cute and extra ridiculous
It seems that any show that lasts long enough will eventually have a musical episode, and this is Psyche's. It turns out that the cast all have pretty good voices except for Maggie Lawson, who isn't terrible but who struggles to keep up with her soft, unsure voice. Timothy Omundon strikes me as the one most likely to have done stage musicals, Dule Hill looks like he can dance a little, and the songs are, well, alright.
The plot is quite silly, with Ally Sheedy returning as a chipper serial killer and Kurt Fuller doing a particularly goofy number about crime-solving and its relationship to his ex wife.
I wouldn't say this was the best Psyche episode, but it's a good one in the series and keeps things moving nicely.moreless
