    Notes (2)

    • Daisy and Kent Powers were absent in this episode.

    • Gustav Goose appears in this episode briefly, but has no lines.

    Trivia (3)

    • When the police called Donald, they said they'd be there in an hour. However, they appear shortly after Donald and The Claw become friends.

    • The G.I Monster would later appear in "Snow Way Out", not in this episode yet. Captain Jack is the first one where we wonder if it is real or not.

    • Just like the G.I Monster, Captain Jack seems to be more than just Donald's imagination. He is eavesdropping at the police station, knocking on the door, and even helping Donald out in the car chase. It makes you wonder if he is real or not.

    Allusions (3)

    • Ready...Aim...Duck! The title is a pun to the famous saying Ready, Aim, Fire!

    • The part where The Claw chases Donald on foot in the forest, and the phone that rings, could be a reference to classic animated shorts back in the time of Bugs Bunny, who also did those things with Elmer Fudd.

    • Claw: Claw smash! Claw mash! Claw rip! This is clearly a reference to how the Hulk talks.
