    • Sam: See, the thing is the Devil gave Greg this Jedi mind trick power. Here's the plan. You've gotta get Greg out of your head. You can't see him, you can't talk to him. Andi: But he knows where I work. Sam: Then we'll get new jobs. Andi: But he knows where I live. Sam: Then we'll run away together. Do you like Buffalo? He'll never find us in Buffalo.

    • Greg: Sam, I've got some advice for you. Walk away. You're never gonna win Andi back. I've got the Devil on my side. Sam: That's the thing, Greg. The Devil isn't on anyone's side. The Devil is on The Devil's side. Ben: There's always a catch. Sam: The Devil made Andi love you right? Did you ask him to make her stop loving me? Greg: She still loves you? So if Andi still loves you, then that means we'll never be happy together and I gave away my soul for nothing? Sock: See. He isn't that dumb.

    • Ben: Next time I'm marrying for money, I'll charge triple.

    • Gladys: I'm going to Acapulco next week, and I need someone to watch over my cat. Sock: Okay, by cat do you mean cat, or do you mean some kind of dragon?

    • Devil: (to Sam) When are you going to learn? The only person playing by the rules is you.

    • Trivia: This is the first episode that does not have an escaped soul.

    • Granted, their conversation in the staff room when they discuss Sam being sensitive isn't too revealing. However, they mention that the Devil is involved quite loudly, despite the fact that other employees are present.

    • When Sam hides from the chainsaw killer under the shelving unit at the Work Bench, the "dart" from the vessel is missing from the barrel of the gun. In the next shot, the dart is clearly seen in the barrel. In the subsequent shot, the dart is again missing from the barrel.

    • The Devil on the sidewalk, whistling: Alludes to It's A Wonderful Life, including the mansion in front of which George serenades Mary in the movie.

    • Gladys: A few too many years spent down in the ninth circle, if you know what I mean. This is reference to Dante Alighieri's poem called The Divine Comedy. In the first part of the poem called Inferno Dante writes about the structure of Hell which is built out of nine circles. The last circle, the ninth, is reserved for the worst sinners: the traitors.

    • Sock: Was it bolted to his wrist like Ash from Evil Dead? Referencing the Evil Dead movies, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell as Ash. In the second movie Ash is forced to cut off his demon-possessed hand and replaces it with a chainsaw.

    • Ben: Was his face made up of human skin like in The Texas Chainsaw? Referencing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), directed by Tobe Hooper. The film tells the tale of a sadistic family of cannibals. The iconic figure of the movie is Leatherface, a man who wears a mask made of human skin and wields a chainsaw.

    • Devil: Kind of a Jedi mind trick.
Referencing the mystical order of warriors of the Star Wars universe. Due to their mastery of the Force, the Jedi can manipulate the weak-minded and force them to do their bidding.
