  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • Laura: What kind of market is there for wet Bibles? Steele: Pious mermaids?

    • Mildred: Oh, boy. When duty calls… Laura: Sometimes I wish it'd hit a wrong number.

    • Laura: You ate fire? Steele: Breathed fire, Laura, an illusion. Treated paraffin laced with alcohol and...a little stupidity.

    • Laura: Mildred's a séance freak, I'm a circus freak. Steele: Professionally, I seem to be surrounded by freaks. Somehow I feel at home.

    • Steele: (after being knocked out) Oh, you're a truly nurturing woman, Mildred. Miss Holt of course is a detective first. Laura: I asked if you were all right. If you start to feel faint, holler.

    Trivia (1)

    • NITPICKS *If there is so much water behind the door when Mildred opens it, there should be at least a trickle outside; the door doesn't look waterproof. *A magnet doesn't exactly lose its draw when there's a stronger magnet. They add up. The weaker magnet is closer, and would interfere with the stronger magnet, which is, in this case, is much further. Besides, the stronger magnet is so far, it cannot provide exact movements needed to spell the name correctly.
