    • Sam Swarek: Sometimes, uh, I hold on a little tight because I don't want you guys to get hurt or screw up.
Andy McNally: I know. Traci messed up. You know, the world didn't end.
Sam Swarek: She's gonna make a hell of a detective.
Andy McNally: Yeah, well, we, uh, we were trained by the best.

    • Sam Swarek: Want a ride to the Penny?
Andy McNally: Sure, if I drive.
Sam Swarek: My truck? You want-
Andy McNally: Yes, because you let Nick drive.
Sam Swarek: Well, that was, that was because of you.
Andy McNally: Yeah, but I wanna drive, you never let me drive. (Sam reluctantly hands her the keys)
Sam Swarek: Don't hit anything, all right?
Andy McNally: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. (kisses him on the cheek and goes to the driver's seat)

    • Sam Swarek: (Andy fumbling around at the cofee machine) All right. Let me do that. Can I do it now? Let me do it.
Andy McNally: You know what? You just, you just can't turn it off, can you?
Sam Swarek: You need to turn it on to get the coffee to come out.
Andy McNally: I'm not talking about the machine. I'm talking about you. You're constantly a training officer. You can't turn it off.
Sam Swarek: Are you calling me a control freak?
Andy McNally: How many times have you let a rookie drive while you've been a training officer? (Sam shows 4 fingers) Freak. Come on, you gotta let us fumble around, you know, figure it out for ourselves. This is how we learn. (she holds up a filled cop of coffee) Exhibit "A".
Sam Swarek: (takes her coffee just as she's about to drink) See you on the road, McNally.
