  • Author Jack Kerouac contemplated suing the show's producers claiming the show was taken from his book "On The Road". He also didn't like the fist fights that Buz and Tod got into.

  • Later in the episode Prudence is driving a Corvette that resembles the rare Mako Shark Corvette, not Tod's.

  • This episode, shot in Memphis, Tennessee, contains a dance sequence that includes the only known video of R&B singer Little Willie John ("Fever"). He is seen during a dance scene hitting a tambourine, when the camera quickly pans to show the band playing.

  • This episode was originally scheduled to air on November 22, 1963 but was postponed for one week due to CBS' coverage of the assassination of President Kennedy.

  • The older, local residents were quite upset that there was going to be a pie throwing segment filmed in the Ponce de Leon Hotel! However, care was taken that everything was protected or removed from the combat area, and all was returned to normal. Pass the Key Lime!
